Affiliate Summit West 2013 is just a little more than two months away.
As you prepare for the conference, think back to your first Affiliate Summit and how it was all a little overwhelming.
There will be more than 5,000 affiliate marketers this coming January 13-15, 2013 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.
A lot of those folks will be attending for the first time, and could use some guidance on how to make the most of their trip.
That’s where you come in – we need veteran Affiliate Summit attendees to help newcomers get that inside view before we all hit the ground in Las Vegas.
The Affiliate Summit Newcomer Program is a great way to get more involved in the affiliate marketing community and make contacts with new people at the conference.

Affiliates were asked “You have been an affiliate marketer since…?” for the 2012 Affiliate Summit AffStat Report.
It’s exciting to see how many new folks are continuing to enter the industry.
Over 30% of those responding to the survey have become affiliate marketers since 2010.
But one problem with the figures… I realized I failed to complete the survey myself, because I started up in 1997 and that year registers 0% in the report.
Over fourteen-hundred affiliates were surveyed on their methods, preferences, and strategies for the 2012 Affiliate Summit AffStat Report.

Affiliates were asked “Do you currently work from home or commute to an office?” for the 2012 Affiliate Summit AffStat Report.
The majority of affiliate marketers, at 55.7%, work from home all the time.
26.1% of affiliate marketers are commuting to an office. And then 18.2% work from home and an office, depending on the day.
I fall into the last category, as I have an office for when I need to get out of the house and concentrate.
I’ve been working from home since 2004, and this is the first year I’ve had an office outside of the house, too. Productivity was taking a hit when kids were off school for breaks, holidays, etc., so I’ve found it well worth the investment.
