Affiliate Summit West 2012 officially starts up on Sunday, January 8, but you can grab your badge and attendee bag on Saturday, January 7 at the Registration Area in Caesars Palace just outside the Octavius Ballroom from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.

If you can’t make it on Saturday, I would suggest going as early as possible on Sunday (it opens at 8:00am), because the lines tend to get big later in the day.

Please have your picture ID ready, so we can get you checked in quickly.

If this is your first time at Affiliate Summit, be sure to come out to my First Timers Guide for Affiliate Summit session at 10am on Sunday in the Augustus I room.

You can see a short video version on my first timers discussion on YouTube if you can’t make it in person.

The breakout sessions start at 11:00am on Sunday, and then the Meet Market opens at noon.

If you have a Platinum or Diamond badge, we’ll have snacks for you from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in the Neopolitan Ballroom I – IV.

There will be Affiliate and Merchant Networking from 5:00pm – 6:00pm in the Neopolitan Ballroom III, IV (bring business cards – they’re required here), followed by the Affiliate Summit Newcomer Program Meetup in the same room at 6:30.

Then the ShareASale “Under the Stars” Party is taking place from 8pm to midnight in the Chateau Nightclub inside the Paris Hotel. Go to the ShareASale Meet Market table to get a ticket for the party.

We’ve received a lot of feedback in the past that the Q&A at the end of sessions was problematic on a number of levels.

Some people would be inaudible, because they didn’t ask a question with a mic; while others would preface their question with a commercial for their company.

So, the audience will be able to submit questions to the speakers via SMS, a phone or computer web browser, as well as Twitter at Affiliate Summit West 2012.

It will be easy to ask a question in any session.

The Race to Affiliate Summit West 2012, a dailymile challenge where Affiliate Summit pledged to donate $1 to benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in support of Affiliate Marketers Give Back team for each mile cycled, run, swam, or walked (up to $5,000) through the challenge, has ended.

There were 49 folks involved in the challenge, and Affiliate Summit has made the $5,000 donation to benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

I ended up at #5 (see my dailymile profile) with 202 miles. I’ll be in the top three next time!

Here were the top ten fundraising affiliate marketing athletes at the conclusion of the challenge.

Congratulations to Jared Saunders, who had the most total miles at the end of the challenge with 346. He will receive a Platinum pass to Affiliate Summit.

Affiliate Summit West 2012 is taking place January 8-10, 2012 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.
