I just read Search Engine Optimization by Kris Jones, President & CEO of Pepperjam, and I really loved the format of the book.
It is not a typical business book that you would read from front to back. Instead, it covers a huge assortment of topics in an easy to understand, condensed format.
Topics covered include analyzing your competition, researching and analyzing keywords, developing your link building skills, using Google Analytics, boosting traffic with Digg and StumbleUpon, and installing valuable SEO plug-ins.
The Search Engine Optimization book includes lots of screen shots to provide step by step details for the various processes described.
I see it as more of a reference manual on SEO related topics than a write-up on the industry.
In that respect, it is more valuable to me than a standard business book, and it gets a more accessible spot on my bookshelf.
If you’re not familiar with Kris Jones, he is well-known throughout the search engine and affiliate marketing communities for his work in both spaces.
He’s sharing resources and tips from his experience, rather than the result of research, and it shows.
