Video has been the next big thing in affiliate marketing for a good four years or so, but it still hasn’t arrived.
Or maybe it has in the form of VidAff.com, a new tool from affiliate Mark Silliman of SpadOut.com.
He’s a big believer and practitioner of the convergence of video and affiliate marketing and thinks video content will be core to affiliate marketing on both the affiliate side and the merchant side in the coming years.
As an affiliate, he has produced dozens of DIY bike films, and he stated they have paid off very well using the first version of his VidAff technology.
I asked Mark about his stats with affiliate video, and he said outgoing clicks from the DIY videos range from ~$0.40-0.70 EPC, depending on the product and time of year.
