Scott Richter, the “high-volume email deployer” who was once known as Spam King, has settled a lawsuit with Microsoft, according to CNET.
This suit dates back to late 2003 when Microsoft and the office of New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer sued Richter.
Richter, who denies all allegations, will pay Microsoft $7 million in the settlement. Last July, Richter settled with Spitzer for a comparatively humble amount of $50,000.
Perhaps Bill Gates is the one who should be running for Governor of New York.
As I mentioned recently, Spamhaus removed Richter from ROKSO (Registry of Known Spam Operations).
