Q: How can you find out who your competitor’s affiliates are?
A: There are a few different software programs that can help to identify some affiliates of your competitors, as well as the sites that are placing well in the search engines for various keywords.
In the past, my two favorite, and pretty much comparable resources for identifying affiliates, were Neil Shearing’s Internet Success Spider and Roy Oron’s Super Affiliate Generator.
However, the Super Affiliate Generator was recently updated (lots of very useful bells and whistles) to become Link Capture. This is the top tool now for identifying affiliates.
You can get the following affiliate results for searches:
- Search engine ranking position
- Link popularity
- Alexa ranking position
- Google PR
- Link directory checker
- Email address of site owner
- Phone number
- Fax number
- Snail mail address
- First & Last names
These tools enable you to find the top sites in the search engines for specific keywords. You can also run queries to determine which sites (affiliates) are linking to any site.
Another top tool for identifying Super Affiliates is ARELIS.
ARELIS has a great “Find Competitor Links” feature that allows you to quickly find all Web sites that link to your competitors. ARELIS quickly locates these sites and helps you to pitch your affiliate program to them.
Also, there is AdGooroo – the world’s first competitive intelligence service for paid search advertisers. AdGooroo tracks the competition and empowers advertisers and agencies, allowing them to base decisions on facts and thoroughly beat the competition.
At last check, all of these programs made free trials available.
