Q: My goal is to make 25 to 30 different Web sites on different topics – each having 500 to 700 odd pages per Web site. Through these 25 Web sites, I want to gross US $60 to $80 per month promoting different category products, as well as having Google AdSense income on each Web site. That way I can gross US $2,000 to $2,500 per month. Is my plan worthwhile? is it possible?
A: It sounds like you’ve thought long and hard about how you can game the system. All of those sites and many hundreds of pages per site – either you’re planning to churn out a ton of automated, keyword rich gibberish, or you’ve got a big gang of Oompa Loompas locked away in your basement.
But seriously, folks. The content game is one of quality, not quantity. After your setup, you asked two questions. Is your plan possible? Sure, you can probably trick some spiders into indexing your content for the short term.
And then, is your plan worthwhile? I’d have to say, unequivocally, no. Your plan would be little more than a textbook example of why merchants are getting increasingly picky when it comes to which affiliates are admitted to their affiliate programs.
How would these sites add value to any affiliate program? Links to affiliate programs on briefly indexed sites aren’t a recipe for long term partnerships.
I’d urge you to go back to the drawing board to devise a unique selling proposition on a niche that really interests you. Create real, unique content. Build community. Do something different… something better. Anything but more litter on the Information Highway.
