I am trying to do some research on affiliate marketing and Latin America. I know there is a huge market in Latin America but I am unable to find information on networks (like CJ or Linkshare) based in Latin America. Do you know of any affiliate networks in Latin America?
This is something I saw as a big trend back in 2000, and I wrote about it for ClickZ at the time.
Unfortunately, many of the players that were planning to penetrate the Latin American market (iMediation, Nexchange, and PlugInGo.com) with affiliate marketing have disappeared.
One of the companies I spoke with back in 2000, MercadoLibre, has since partnered with eBay, and they are still running affiliate programs specific to many Latin American countries.
They’ve got a Programa de Afiliados. It appears to be an in-house program, rather than a network (but don’t take my word for it – I’m not fluent in Spanish).
Aside from the MercadoLibre affiliate, I came across a handful of others by searching for Programa de Afiliados in Google. But I’m afraid I can’t locate an affiliate network operating in Latin America.
