AOL announced today that it has acquired buy.at, a leading independent affiliate network that provides a platform for performance-based e-commerce marketing programs to advertisers and publishers. buy.at will operate as a wholly-owned business unit of Advertising.com, part of AOL’s Platform-A organization, according to a release from buy.at.
Moving forward, buy.at, Inc will be known as Advertising.com’s buy.at affiliate network, according to Malcolm Cowley, President of buy at, Inc the US subsidiary of buy.at.
“Publishers will be able to work with Advertising.com across multiple product lines display, video, and mobile. This deal will give us the resources and reach we need to be a viable affiliate network choice for major US brands,” stated Cowley.
“Investment plans include increases in staff and technology to support the growth plans here in the US. buy.at will also have the advantage of being able to leverage Advertising.com and AOL’s significant breadth and depth of technical resources to complement its own technology and offering – meaning we will be able to provide unique tools to affiliates in the future to continue our reputation for innovation in the channel,” continued Cowley.
