Amazon is looking into launching a competing network to Google AdSense, according to Chris Beasley at SitePoint.

This could be interesting, as Amazon and Google announced a “multi-year agreement that will make Google’s search technology and targeted sponsored links available on Amazon.com,” on April 3, 2003.
Alexa.com (owned by Amazon) is showing sponsored results from Google today, but will they still be there on April 4, 2006?
