Amazon Payments was launched by Amazon this week to allow customers to automatically pay recurring charges, such as monthly subscription fees or phone bills, by using their Amazon log-in details.
There are 240 million monthly active users on Amazon, according to TechCrunch, who currently store their credit card information on Amazon.com.
I checked this morning, and Amazon Payments was not, yet, an option to be paid affiliate commissions by the Amazon affiliate program, but I would imagine that is coming soon.
It will be interesting if Amazon Payments becomes as standard as PayPal with business transactions.
I’ve created an account to start playing around with it, and I am curious to see how it works for me on both a personal level and as a potential payment option for Affiliate Summit down the road.
