Affiliates Should Have a DMCA Notice Posted

Linda Goodman, founder of The Goodman Law Firm, has written an article with helpful information for any affiliate marketer with a content site.

According to Ms. Goodman, under Title II of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. Section 512 (“DMCA”), the DMCA provides a legal procedure by which any holder of a copyright may request any Online Service Provider to disable access to a website where the copyrighted work appears without the permission of such person.

There are two parts to the legal procedure: (1) Writing a Proper DMCA Notice, and (2) Sending the Notice to a Designated Agent.
