Which Pass Should I Get for Affiliate Summit?

May 23, 2016 by Shawn Collins

We are often asked which type of pass people should get when they register for Affiliate Summit, and it comes down to your objectives and what you plan to take away from the conference.

I've got a question for you

There are three types of passes available: Networking, Networking Plus, and VIP.

Here is a breakdown of what you get with each pass type:

  • The Networking Pass gives you access to the Meet Market, Exhibit Hall, and keynotes, so it’s geared towards people looking to network.
  • The Networking Plus Pass includes the perks available to the Networking Pass, as well as access to view videos of the dozens of educational sessions from the conference.
  • The VIP Pass comes with everything you get with the lower passes, as well as a hot breakfast and lunch on the Monday and Tuesday of the conference, a networking snack break on Sunday, the opportunity to attend all of the educational sessions at the conference, as well as expedited conference check-in and access to VIP seating in the networking lounge.

Passes include other perks, too. Get more details at AffiliateSummit.com.

Recap of ShareASale ThinkTank 2016 in Chicago #ThinkTank16

May 19, 2016 by Shawn Collins

ShareASale ThinkTank 2016I just got back from ShareASale ThinkTank 2016, which took place May 15-17, 2016 at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile.

ShareASale ThinkTank is the annual conference for ShareASale affiliates, merchants, and vendors.

The first day started with a Cocktail Hour hosted by Affiliate Summit, followed by a Welcome Reception and Opening Keynote.

I got lucky and was assigned the cool table #thinktank

The opening keynote was from Marissa Levin, leadership columnist at Inc. Magazine, as well as Founder and CEO at Successful Culture and Founder & Chairman at Information Experts.

We were sitting together for dinner, before the keynote, and I was excited to find out that she was a fellow Maryland Terp. And it turned out she lived in a house next to my fraternity house back when we were undergrads. Small world.

Day two started with some breakfast and a series of breakout sessions, followed by roundtables, and then a networking lunch. I led a roundtable on Facebook remarketing, and it was a lot of fun to chat with folks about applying it to their business.

Lunch was followed by a series of Private Affiliate-Merchant Meetings, where dozens of companies got face time with a bunch of current and future affiliates.

Affiliates that came by the Affiliate Summit table also had the added benefit of getting a cool Affiliate Summit t-shirt.

After the meetings wrapped up, we had some free time to explore Chicago, and I headed out with a group to Eddie V’s Prime Seafood.

After dinner, there was the ShareASale Under the Stars party, which was a great time at an awesome spot, like usual.

The party was followed by an after party back at the hotel, where Brian Littleton, Founder and CEO of ShareASale, played piano for an extended singalong with the crowd.

And then there was the closing ShareASale “Things We Need to Fix” session. This is an open forum, hosted by Brian Littleton, where attendees are able to share their thoughts on improvements and changes.

I’d like to give a big thanks to Brian Littleton and his team for a top notch event that was filled with productive business, some really useful tips, new friends, and good times.
