I’ve been to more meetups and seminars and conferences than I can keep track of at this point, and one thing I’ve noticed over time is that most people are bad closers.
When it comes time to follow-up, so many people get lazy and send out a boilerplate email.
That’s an awesome way to drive that contact right into a dead end.
So, I have a challenge for you. Be the one that does it differently and stand out in a great way. Pick up some thank you cards and mail them to people you meet at networking events.
Just a one or two line note to thank them for their time and how you’d like to move forward, whether it be an email, phone call, lunch, etc.
You’ll find that this small investment of time and many will have an awesome ROI.
