Back in February, Google announced that they were launching an affiliate program that would award commissions for referring new AdSense publishers. This program had been invitation-only since the initial announcement, but now it's ready for the rest of us.
Google is paying $100 (credited to your AdSense account) for every AdSense publisher you refer who signs up and earns $100 themselves.
Also, when a user you've referred to Firefox plus Google Toolbar runs Firefox for the first time, you'll receive $1 in your AdSense account.
This is what you need to do to become an affiliate with the new AdSense referral system:
- If you don't already have an AdSense publisher account, sign up for one now. Once your application is approved, you'll be able to log in and complete the process.
- Log into your AdSense publisher account.
- Click into the "Referrals" tab in your AdSense account to:
- Select the language you'll use for referrals from the drop-down menu;
- Select the sub-tab of the product you'd like to refer: AdSense or Firefox plus Google Toolbar;
- Choose the referral button you'd like to place on your site, and copy the code from the box to the left of the selection.
- Paste the referral code into the HTML source code of your site.
The Google affiliate program provides banners in 110x32, 120x60, 120x240, 125x125, and 468x60.
